Maple Garlic Marinated Pork Tenderloin

This makes a juicy, delicious pork tenderloin that believe it or not is very lean. It is great grilled or you can bake it in the oven. It is best if you can marinade it overnight. I throw everything into a large ziploc bag and stick it in the fridge. Very easy and quick dinner. Serve with some fresh green beans and some potatoes or a great big summer salad. This marinade is great for chicken too.

Ingredients:

1-2 tablespoons Dijon mustard (lesser amount if you don't like mustard)
1 teaspoon sesame oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
Fresh ground black pepper to taste
1 cup maple syrup
1 1/2 pound pork tenderloin

Combine all ingredients in a large ziploc bag. Refrigerate at least 8 hours or overnight.

Preheat grill for medium-low heat.
Remove tenderloin from marinade and set aside. Place remaining marinade in a medium saucepan.
Cook marinade on high heat for 5 minutes.

Place pork on grill. Baste with the cooked marinade. Cook for 15-25 minutes or until no longer pink inside. Avoid using high cooking temperatures because marinade will burn.

Enjoy!
